Preparing for Ofsted: Attendance and Behaviour

Course overview

From November 2025, Ofsted introduces a standalone Attendance and Behaviour judgement within its new Education Inspection Framework.

This modular course helps you understand the changes, self-evaluate effectively, and communicate your school’s story with clarity and purpose.

Through five short modules, you’ll explore the updated criteria, understand the evidence requirements, and identify ways to embed sustainable improvements.

Course Modules

This self-paced course includes five concise, interactive modules:

Module 1: Introduction to the New EIF

Provides an overview of the new framework and grading model, highlighting what’s changed and what remains the same.

Module 2: Deep Dive into Attendance and Behaviour

Explores Ofsted’s evidence expectations, grading descriptors, and real-world examples of what inspectors look for.

Module 3: Self-Evaluation: Knowing Your Strengths and Gaps

Guides leaders through the self-evaluation process using toolkit-aligned statements and the Stakeholder Survey Pack to triangulate evidence.

Module 4: Preparing for Inspection: Aligning and Communicating Your Narrative

Focuses on aligning leadership narratives, preparing staff and governors, and practising responses using the Inspector Question Bank and Leadership Checklist.

Module 5: Sustaining a Positive Culture: Beyond Inspection

Helps schools embed improvements and maintain a positive culture through the Sustainability Action Plan.
